The Project Management Institute (PMI) Sub-Saharan Africa Team is offering a scholarship to help you earn the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM®). A globally recognized certification from PMI that demonstrates foundational project management knowledge. This opportunity is open to eligible candidates in who are new to project management or just ready to take the first step in launching their careers. Whether you're pursuing a role in creative industries, business, or nonprofits, the CAPM credential can set you apart and equip you with practical, transferable skills.
Here’s what you need to know:
- Eligibility: This application is open to Undergraduate and Masters level students only
- Delivery Format: All trainings will be 100% self-paced
- Prerequisite: All recipients will be required to meet with a member of the PMI Sub-Saharan Africa Team at least once to check in on the process
- Cost: $0 fully funded by PMI Sub-Saharan Africa Team
- Award Notification: Applicants will be notified by 13 November 2026 regarding the outcome of their application
- Submission Timeline: Applications will close on 5 November 2026 at 11:59 p.m. EST or once the maximum applicant capacity is reached, whichever comes first
- Mandatory Commitment: Scholarship recipient's are required to complete all study and training within 5 weeks and must sit the CAPM exam no later than 18 December 2026. Recipients must also agree to undertake at least one awareness-raising activity during or shortly after the programme to share knowledge, promote learning, and encourage wider engagement
The resources provide will support you to fully prepare to sit for the CAPM exam and begin your journey as an entry-level project manager. To secure your spot, please complete the application form in full. Incomplete submissions will not be considered. This scholarship will be awarded to eligible applicants based on the application review and selection process.
IMPORTANT: Please express interest only if you are available and committed to participating in the program from start to finish. This scholarship fully covers the cost of CAPM training and certification.
